Welcome Anikka. I am very excited to introduce Anikka Abbott to you today. Anikka is a soprano, blogger, and a wonderful person. I'm sure you would like her if you met her in person. Anikka sang the role of Papagena in our July 2016 production of The Magic Flute. She graduated summa cum laude from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance. We at GVAI are very honored that Anikka will write for GVAI's blog from today on to help you to learn everything you need to know about singing, the German language, German culture, the opera business, and life in Germany. Watch our website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts for new blog posts every Tuesday and make sure you leave a comment about what you want to read about. Here is your chance to get to know Anikka: Chocolate or Vanilla? Vanilla
Learn more about Anikka on her website OR follow her public Facebook page. Anikka plans to attend graduate school in Germany, so her goal is to learn everything possible about how to travel to Germany to sing in grad school or to sing as a professional. If you are interested too, make sure you reserve your place at GVAI's 2017 Summer Opera Program Die Zauberflöte. Watch our program video trailer here.
