During the holiday season you can find Christmas stars everywhere: on the Christmas tree, Christmas markets, in the windows of houses. The star represents the star of Bethlehem. In secular carols the star stands for the light shining bright in dark times, bringing hope to the people. Today I want to share with you a very beautiful Christmas carol which is loved especially in the East of Germany: 1000 Sterne sind ein Dom (A thousand stars). It is performed by one of Germany's famous youth choirs, the Rundfunk-Jugendchor Wernigerode. Enjoy! To learn more details about the song, visit this website.
