I refuse to weigh myself at this time of the year, but try to increase my exercise. There are so many delicious holiday treats offered by friends and family and on Christmas markets. One of it is the traditional Weihnachtsstollen (Christmas-Stollen). The Stollen is a dried fruit cake or fruit bread with powdered sugar topping usually eaten in the Christmas season. My hometown Dresden is very famous for it. Stollen was baked there already in the 15th century and Dresden celebrates a huge festival every year on the Saturday before the second advent. Do you want to taste some Stollen? Try this recipe. Enjoy the baking and most of all the Stollen afterwards! (If you like, send me a picture of how it turned out :-)
