She is the principal pianist for the Seattle Opera Guild's series of opera previews. She is a frequent recital accompanist around the Northwest, and performs regularly with Public Opera and Opera On Tap (two organizations that present opera aria/scene concerts in informal settings). In the world of musical theatre, Glenda has been the music director of nearly a hundred shows. She has written two musicals which have been produced by area theatres. A former member of Seattle Pro Musica, her choral arrangements have been performed by SPM and the Celebration Singers of Kelowna, B.C. Recent musical adventures have included work with Tom Cipullo's new opera AFTER LIFE for Music of Remembrance, helping to teach a class on Gilbert and Sullivan for the Cornish College drama department, and playing for Kidstage, a musical theatre training program for high school students at the Village Theatre. She was the harpsichordist for Bellevue City Opera's debut production of LE NOZZE DI FIGARO.
Most recently she was the chorus master for Pacific Northwest Opera's acclaimed production of THE TALES OF HOFFMANN. GVAI is happy to have Glenda back for a third summer. |
